First Family Ministries
Focused on youth aging out of foster care.

What we do!

First Family Ministries mission is to “Transform lives by ensuring and providing family and community connections for youth aging out of foster care!” We will accomplish the goal through three very distinct strategies:

  1. We want to build an environment that fosters and encourages youth and young adults to dream and give them the tools necessary to achieve their goals. We will do this through intensive life skills training, mental health services and career/educational counseling.
  2. We not only want to assist them with achieving their goals, we also want to create a family atmosphere that will give them a sense of family that they have been lacking in the foster care system! This will be done through housing cohorts where the young adults will learn the skills needed to maintain a home, live with others, and financial literacy and planning.
  3. In addition to planning for their future, we have a entrepreneur track, that every family member participates in one of the LLC companies owned and operated by First Family Ministries. The first of these LLC.’s is Spokes of Hope Community Bike Center.

Spokes of Hope Community Bike Center was developed to be a social entrepreneurship program. Social Entrepreneurship programs are spreading across the country and are designed to work with vulnerable populations.
